piddle

The ill-named River Piddle—a rippling, tortoiseshell-coloured stream at times—runs through the streets.

My father and mother were of humble means, living in the village of Bryant's Piddle, in (p. 002) the county of Dorset.

It riseth about Alton, and goeth from thence to Piddle trench head, Deuils.

Some moved to town and do carpenter work, and others jes' piddle around.

The principal rivers are the Stour, the Frome, and the Piddle.
